JEWISH
What is Jewish about a world-famous piano work by one of the most famous Christian composers? Nothing except the orchestral arrangement, the genesis of which perfectly reflects a Jewish fate of the 20th century: the Jewish-Polish composer Józef Koffler was at the beginning of a great career that was abruptly interrupted by the rise of National Socialism. Under these threatening circumstances, he fell silent as a composer and devoted himself in his final years solely to arranging the works of others.

TODAY

Bach's music is timeless and familiar to many. While researching a major Koffler memorial project, Daniel Grossmann discovered the orchestral version of the Goldberg Variations. With its complete performance for the 100th anniversary of the Munich Bach Festival, we are bringing Bach's music to life anew.

FOR ALL
A concert for curious Bach connoisseurs or interested Bach newcomers. For piano music lovers or orchestra fans. For those with the famous Glenn Gould recording in their ears, or for JCOM fans who are wondering about a purely orchestral concert. Prepare to be surprised!
