Shana Tova – a sweet new year! Welcome the year 5783, which begins on September 25, 2022 according to the Jewish calendar, with cantors Tzudik Greenwald and Areimy Kirshenbaum, the Jewish Chamber Orchestra Munich and Daniel Grossmann!
The JCOM Jewish New Year's Concert has now become a permanent fixture in Munich's concert calendar and we are delighted to be able to celebrate Rosh Hashanah (literally "Head of the Year") with you again this year with rousing pieces of Jewish folk music and festive music from the synagogue.
Guests at the concert are Tzudik Greenwald and Avremi Kirshenboim, both of whom perform in synagogues and on concert stages around the world. Kirshenboim is the main cantor of the Great Synagogue in Jerusalem and works closely with Eli Jaffe. Greenwald is the main cantor of the Jewish community in Frankfurt and, in addition to his diverse cantorial activities, he records modern songs that have a large fan base.
