MK:JCOM - Orchestra in Residence
From the 25-26 season, the JCOM will be the 'Orchestra in Residence' at the Munich Kammerspiele.
After our collaboration has grown increasingly close over the past few years, we're very much looking forward to this new connection! The Munich Kammerspiele is a wonderful place for JCOM to tell our stories – often with the participation of the theater's ensemble.
Stay tuned for what the next season has in store: we'll be exploring the music of Sephardic Jews, dedicating a concert to the Munich-born Israeli composer Pau Ben-Haim, and performing Béla Bartók's "Bluebeard's Castle" as a minimal opera. A revival also awaits us at the end of January/beginning of February 26: the klezmer singspiel "Mendele Lohengrin," which sold out in January 25, returns to the stage of the Munich Kammerspiele.
